Giant chinchompa chathead

The giant chinchompa is a level 29 Summoning familiar. It can be summoned by using the "summon" option in the right click menu of a Giant chinchompa pouch.

Giant chinchompa pouch[]

A giant chinchompa is made by using a Summoning pouch on a Summoning obelisk with 84 spirit shards, a Blue charm and a Chinchompa in the player's inventory. Making the pouch earns 255.2 experience points. Using the pouch to summon a Giant chinchompa gains 2.5 Summoning experience points, and costs 10 Summoning points.

Explode scroll[]

An Explode scroll enables the use of the Explode special move for a Giant chinchompa. Using the pouch on a Summoning obelisk creates 10 scrolls and gives 2.9 Summoning experience.

Explode[]

Explode is the special move for the Giant chinchompa, which causes the Giant chinchompa to explode, disappearing entirely and damage nearby enemies like a regular chinchompa. It is activated with an Explode scroll, using 10 special move points and granting 2.9 Summoning experience.

This move can be useful in combat situations against several low level enemies, as this move has a higher max hit than the chinchompa's normal attacks.

The Giant chinchompa has been known to explode during combat without use of a scroll, damaging all targets nearby and disappearing permanently. This happens quite frequently (approximately 1 of every 10 attacks).

Dialogue[]

Trivia[]

  • "Half a pound of tuppenny rice..." (in the dialogue) is a reference to the British rhyme Pop Goes the Weasel.
  • According to the dialogue your familiars can see your inventory, which is stored in a backpack carried on your back.
  • In theory, a player can get 99 summoning in one trip using only giant chinchompa pouches at level 35 at the Gu'Tanoth obelisk. All the ingredients stack and, after creating the pouches, they can be immediately swapped with Bogrog to recover 70% of their shard content, reducing costs. This would require 50,988 blue charms and as many chinchompas, and (of course) pouches. Without exchanging pouches for shards, you would need 4,282,992 shards which would cost 107,074,800 coins; add to that the cost of pouches for a grand total of 107,125,788. Swapping out the shards brings the total cost to 32,173,428
  • Similarly, if someone had about 783,650 blue charms, they could get 200M XP in summoning in 1 trip.
