The Giant crypt rat is found in the tunnels of the Barrows.  They look like normal giant rats with the exception of a single Giant crypt rat which has a slight greenish tint and is usually at the centre of the room. They can be a small threat when low on health or run energy. Every time you kill one your Barrows kill count will be raised by one, with the exception being if someone else has already lowered it to below half health. They are also a constant annoyance if they are in the room with your Puzzle Door (refer to Barrows). They have a max hit of about 90 life points, but they rarely hit over 60.

They can also be found in two caves within the Chaos Tunnels. They drop many more charms here than in Barrows.
