The Giant Crypt Rat is found in the tunnels of the Barrows. They are only found in the Central Western Room along with regular Crypt Rats and what ever other monsters spawn when you open the door to go into the room. They look like normal giant rats with the exception of a single Giant Crypt Rat which has a slight greenish tint and is usually in the centre of the room. They can be a small threat when low on health or run energy. Every time you kill one they will raise your Barrows kill count by one with the exception of if someone else has already lowered it to below half health. They are also a constant annoyance if they are in the room with your Puzzle Door (refer to Barrows). They have a max hit of about 9, but they rarely hit over 6.
They can also be found in 2 caves in the Chaos Tunnels. They drop many more charms here than in Barrows.
