This article is about the room built in a player-owned house. For other uses, see Garden (disambiguation).
[view][talk]

The Garden is one of the only two types of rooms in a player-owned house a player can build starting at level 1 Construction. Building a garden costs 1,000 coins. Most items required for the garden can be bought from the Garden Centre run by the Garden supplier at Falador Park.

At level 55 Construction, players have the option to build a formal garden. It serves the same purpose as a garden, but has many more centrepieces, flowers, and hedges to choose from.

Since every player-owned house is required to have an exit portal, all players will have at least one garden (or formal garden) in their house. Trying to remove the garden with the exit portal with result in the following message: Your house must have at least one exit portal. It is also possible to have more than one exit portal. Players can use any portal to teleport out, but will always use the latest one built to teleport in.

A garden has 7 hotspots available:

  • Centrepiece
  • Tree
  • Big tree
  • Small plant 1
  • Small plant 2

Trees/Big trees[]

There are 2 tree hotspots in the garden, a regular tree and a big tree. None of the planted trees may be chopped down for wood, as they are purely decorative. Players will need a watering can with some water in it (or a magic watering can) in their inventory instead of hammer and saw to build these trees.

The crystal saw's +3 invisible Construction boost does not apply to planting trees. The player will receive the same amount of Farming experience as Construction experience when these trees are planted.
