The Gadderhammer is a two-handed members-only maul. There are no combat requirements for wielding the gadderhammer. To obtain the gadderhammer the player must defeat Gadderanks during the In Aid of the Myreque quest. A player must also have completed the quest In Aid of the Myreque to wield the weapon after buying it from someone else. This weapon cannot be made using the Smithing skill.
Gadderanks was afraid of Shades, and invented the Gadderhammer. It is extremely effective against shades.
If lost, the Gadderhammer can be bought from the Burgh de Rott general store owner for 3,000 coins or from the Grand Exchange.
The street price had dropped a fair amount towards the end of 2007, from 250,000 coins to 30,000, and then to 2,000 since the release of the Grand Exchange. Today it costs around 1,591 coins, similar to its High Level Alchemy value.

- Although there are no requirements to wield the Gadderhammer, it is not possible to wield this at 1 Attack. Both In Search of the Myreque and In Aid of the Myreque give Attack and Strength experience as a reward and In Aid of the Myreque is required to wield it.
