A Fruit bat is a familiar a player may summon with the Summoning skill.

[edit] Fly
The fly option can be used on Karamja. It will not use any points, and can be used many times in a row. The Bat simply flies away to gather some fruits. It collects mainly Bananas, Oranges, Limes and Lemons, occasionally Pineapples. Each fly takes around 4 seconds, and it gathers around 0-5 fruit per cast. You can withdraw the fruit from its inventory.

The Fruit Bat forages Papayas, Pineapples, Coconuts, Strawberries, Watermelons, Strawberry seeds, and Watermelon seeds. Thanks to its lengthy timer, it can produce a significant volume of fruit, enough to more than make up the cost of its pouch several times over.

A Fruit bat pouch is used in the Summoning skill to summon a Fruit bat. It is made by using a Summoning pouch on a Summoning obelisk with 130 spirit shards, a Green charm and a Banana in your inventory. It gives 121.2 Summoning experience when made, and 1.4 when used. Using this pouch on a Summoning obelisk will enable you to create 10 Fruitfall scrolls.

The Fruitfall scroll enables the use of the Fruitfall power for a Fruit bat familiar. The fruitfall scroll is made by using a Fruit bat pouch on a Summoning obelisk.

Fruitfall is the Fruit Bat's scroll. It sends your bat to search for fruits. The bat will get 0-5 fruits and drop them on the ground for you. It brings an Average of 2. The difference from the Fly option is that it can be used anywhere, except inside a building. Additionally, it will also bring better fruits, such as Papaya, Coconut (rarely), Watermelons, banana, etc. Papaya fruit is the most common with this special, (heals 8's), however, it does still bring lemons, limes and oranges. Activating this scroll provides 1.4 summoning experience and costs 6 special move points.
