Frogs
From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape
- For the creature, see Frog; see also Frog (disambiguation)
Frogs is a random event. The player must kiss the frog prince or princess (depending on their gender) in order to restore them to their true form.
The newly transformed prince or princess will give the player a frog token for helping them. Players can redeem this at the Varrock clothes shop to get a frog mask, or a princess / prince outfit.
Some players are upset that they are not able to wear clothing of the opposite gender because it transforms to fit the player's gender automatically. Also, some players complained because they would rather kiss someone of the same gender.
Despite complaints, Jagex has not changed either of these, and probably will not.
[edit] Dialogue
The conversation from the frogs goes like this ("player" in brackets represents the player's username):
- Hello, (player)
- (player), the frog prince/princess desires your attention!
- If you kiss him/her, (player), he/she will turn into a human!
- But if you ignore him/her, (player), we will turn you into a frog!
- That's IT, (player), you're a frog!
If the dialogue reaches this stage, the frog will turn the player into a frog, and then teleport them to Frogland.
[edit] Frogland
Frogland is an enclosed swamp inhabited by frogs, only one of which is wearing a crown. Whilst there, players only have four buttons:
Players who are sent there unlock a new piece of music called Frogland. This is the only random event in which a player receives a reward (access to a new music track) for ignoring the random event.
To return to the game, players need to find the frog prince or princess and apologise to them. They say: "I'm very sorry. Please change me back!" The frog always forgives them, and teleports them back to where they were.
