|Examine||A razor-sharp rapier. (Tier 5)|
A Fractite rapier is a Fractite metal (tier 5) rapier used during the Dungeoneering skill and is the 2nd best rapier available for free players, behind the Gravite rapier. This rapier can be smithed using two fractite bars at 43 Smithing and requires 40 Attack to wield. It is commonly found on the tables at the start of the dungeon. However, these may be better for selling to the Smuggler as two-handed weapons are much more commonly used in Daemonheim. You can receive this item as a drop from forgotten warriors wielding this also.
It has the same stab bonus as a rune sword, but 4 higher slash bonus and 1 lower strength bonus.
The weapon can use one of four fighting styles: Stab (Attack experience, stab), Lunge (Strength experience, stab), Slash (Strength experience, slash), and Block (Defence experience, stab). This is a fast attacking weapon, and is perfect for those attempting to super rush a dungeon, although accuracy may be an issue. Stab attack style is most recommended due to being most accurate of all four fighting styles. It looks very similar to a gravite rapier, but with very different stats.
A player wielding a Fractite rapier.
