Hi,
3ICE here, writing a long winded post about something that has been bugging me for a while, as I kill 400 Catablepons.
My pendants and depleted pendants are members only yet most if not all the wiki pages say they are F2P. What gives?
- Members × 3 Talk:Depleted pendant#Members bank slot here we have 3 people confirming that slash pondering why it's a P2P item,
- Free [1] but as of right now (2012 October 15) the article says it's F2P.
- Members [2] And here we have an IP changing it to P2P,
- Free [3] and then User:Coelacanth0794 changing it back to F2P.
- Members [4] here we have an IP attempt to change it to P2P,
- Free [5] then User:The Mol Man, an editor I respect and consider an authority reverts it, saying "is not".
- Members [6] which gets changed back to members,
- Void [7] gets lowercased,
- Free [8] then self-reverted: "Hmm... history page says it isn't... vandalism?"
- Members [11] IP: "updated memb status"
- Free [12] revert by User:Coelacanth0794: "Unless someone can check". (I like this guy, he doesn't immediately discredit the change, he is suspicious instead.)
Prized pendant of Fletching, Prized pendant of Construction, Prized pendant of Agility, etc:
- Free [17] These pages...
- Members [18] were all created...
- Free [19] as f2p,
- Members [20] but changed...
- Free [21] to members...
- Members [22] soon after.
- Members [23] "see talk"
- Members [24] requesting confirmation on talk page ("Can anyone confirm that these are in fact available for free-to-play?")
- Members [25] and getting it
- Free [26] But the article is reverted a few weeks later anyway
- Members [27] IP clearly sees it as a members item and comes to help us correct the mistake
- Free [28] Gets shut down with: "Undid revision 6036046 by 173.49.58.176 (Talk) -> It's f2p"
- Members [29] IP says members=yes,
- Free [30] but "Undid revision 6020954 by ...".
- Members [31] This time a registered member tries to get the message across...
- Free [32] But "Undid revision 6020963 by Druid Ozver (Talk) they're not"
- Members [33] members=yes,
- Free [34] "f2p skill, unless corrected" (Again, this guy at least considered the possibility of everyone else being wrong. Thanks for that.)
- Members [35] IP edit: members=yes,
- Free [36] "m (Undid revision 6211702 by 67.183.0.65 (Talk): Prayer is available to F2P as well)"
- Members [37] IP users persevere! Current edit war status: winning (Will probably get reverted again though.)
- Members [38] members=yes,
- Free [39] "m (Undid revision 6246033 by 64.231.248.83 (Talk) other pendants say no...)" To which I say other pendants are also wrong.
- Members [40] members=yes,
- Free [41] "m (Undid revision 6385869 by 98.180.37.20 (Talk): Magic is a non members skill though)" Now that's just a silly argument. We are talking about an item not the skill itself. With that line of thinking, Frost dragon bones should be f2p as well.
Tally: (Of course I, 3ICE, support the members-only side of this argument as I've seen them marked as such on an f2p world with my very own eyes. So +1 to members.)
- Members 26 times.
- Free 20 times. (Addendum: Most of them were probably misguided reverts. 3ICE (talk) 18:34, October 15, 2012 (UTC))
Shall we put an end to this argument once and for all? 3ICE (talk) 18:33, October 15, 2012 (UTC)

Can you use the pendants on members-only worlds only? (as in getting the bonus XP) Do all pendants have orange names when pointed to with the mouse in-game?

- They're unusable, I've just confirmed. This page can be closed unless we'd like to make a few points about policy. MolMan 18:53, October 15, 2012 (UTC)
Comment - Prized pendants appear as members objects for me in f2p (On the Squeal of Fortune). I do remember getting a normal pendant of magic in F2P squeal, but I couldn't claim it. Now, maybe these items are members to obtain, but in Free-to-play worlds, can we equip these pendants? And, do we get bonus exp? If we can at least equip them, then they are F2P items. They're members objects. All of them have the examine text "Login to a members' server to use this object." on free to play servers. Close thread plox Wahisietel (Talk) 09:15, October 17, 2012 (UTC)
Closed - Please bring this discussion to talk pages. The Yew Grove is an irrelevant place to discuss this. -- SpineTalk 11:51, October 17, 2012 (UTC)
