I decided to kill some time and I came up with this:

The above logo blends the Oasis logo theme with the Monobook one and follows the style Jagex is going after.

Strong oppose - I much, much prefer our current monobook logo, which looks cleaner, better fits the theme, has existed for a long time, and simply put, doesn't need to be changed. This one just isn't aesthetically pleasing. Ronan ^Talk 16:12, May 4, 2012 (UTC)

I know this is opinionated, however I would like to add that The logo I've created matches more of the Oasis and the general theme that RuneScape has brought about. -Bren

Neutral - I like the new font, but I prefer the border and shadow of the current logo. In both cases the runes look good, so I don't really know... I must say, it doesn't go very well with the MonoBook theme itself, so perhaps brighten it a bit? That is an advantage of the brighter current runes on current essence. If that makes sense. Oppose - I don't think it is a good idea to make the monobook logo's icons to be a minigame's runes, instead of the runes that are used in the "everyday life" on runescape. The runespan runes have no use outside runespan, so I don't see why we should make our logo have those minigame-only runes our official monobook logo. JOEYTJE50TALK  17:07, May 4, 2012 (UTC)

Yes it is a recent update, but how is runespan "the current RuneScape"? I think RuneSpan is "the current RuneScape" (that everyone plays it) for such a short time that it is already "just a minigame" by the time this forum is closed. JOEYTJE50TALK  17:27, May 4, 2012 (UTC)

Support - (Yay for Monobook users!) I like the "changed" version. (You should remove/archive the original if you have changed it so people will only look at the changed one. *grin*) I don't mind the minigame-version runes, as they are kinda unique in a way.   az ^talk   20:56, May 4, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the feedback! I'm not sure where this will go, but I chose the Runespan runes for the reason of making it unique, like you said, and also the idea of the runes looking more detailed. It's not as blank as the current one. The font for the current logo isn't that eye-appealing in my opinion. - Bren 23:17, May 4, 2012 (UTC)

Oppose - I don't use monobook, but I think we need to do this right. Offer a "contest" of sorts to allow users to submit their logo ideas. Oppose - Two points. (1) I agree that if it's going to change, it should be a more open process with an invitation for people to submit entries. (2) I'm not convinced it needs to change.
