Due to the recent update with the toolbelts, the experience rates have changed a little. Though everything makes the same experience, some skills (Crafting, mining, farming) have now the ability to make a little more with one less spot used up for the equiptment. Basically, all I wish to do is recorrect the main experience earned everywhere. Thus, instead of earning 1350 crafting xp from making tiaras out of silver bars, the player could earn 1400 xp by adding the mould to the toolbelt.

Little changes like this could mean the difference in the long run for a few players. If anyone is willing to go onto pages with rates of experience earned per inventory and correct them, that would be great.

Please help me on this one, as it IS my first Yew Grove organization attempt. MattTheCat 02:07, December 7, 2011 (UTC)

Discussion

A little clarification: the experience rates to be changed refer to experience per hour, since the banking time for multiple inventories is cut by 1/28 (or 1/14, for gemmed jewels) of the banking time before the toolbelt was introduced. This thread is asking whether this change is significant enough, and whether other users would assist with changing exp/h rates on the whole wiki.

Support: While this doesn't affect low levels that much, at the higher levels the sheer number of actions you have to do makes this somewhat significant. Fletching 10000 magic logs into unstrung magic longbows gives 915,000 experience, and at 27 logs per inventory, will take 371 inventories to finish. At 28 logs per inventory, it will take 352 inventories to finish. Given that each inventory of 27 takes 48.6 seconds to finish, and each inventory of 28 takes 50.4, plus banking time (arbitralily placed at 5 seconds per banking), it would take 19885.6 seconds (5 and a half hours) to finish with inventories of 27. At 28 per inventory, it would take 19500.8 seconds (5.4 hours) to finish. Mad Rubicante 08:28, December 7, 2011 (UTC)

Comment - Hm. Can we add an option to calculators "is your tool in the toolbelt?", which, when 'yes' is applied, adds one more dose of experience per 27 items to your total? 18px-Avatar.png Fswe1 26px-Brassica_Prime_symbol.svg.png 19:33, December 9, 2011 (UTC)

That's a good idea, but it still leaves experience rates left in articles for training, etc. However, most of these rates are rough guesstimates, so I doubt if much besides the calculators will need to be changed. 16:08, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

Comment: I don't really feel it's needed, maybe the calculators, but the other pages will generally be changed when editors see an error to it, there's just too many pages that have these experience rates, maybe just for calculators, and or training/money making guide pages. -- Dragon longsword Cire04 TalkAttack 22:47, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

Support, leaning towards Be bold - Why not? But instead of adding a "is your tool in the toolbelt?" option to calcs, we could just say "x xp/hour, x xp/hour if using toolbelt" or "x-foo1 xp/hour" where x would be the xp/hr when not utilising the toolbelt, and foo1 would be the xp/hr when utilising the toolbelt. Or something like that.

Support: Everyone has the toolbelt to use so a general assumption of it's use should be used. If not used then a note should be placed within the page, possibly explaining why not to use the toolbelt. It has an effect, so to show the "true" rates it needs to be included. --Branmans 15:53, December 23, 2011 (UTC)
