Forge regents are level 76 Summoning familiars, introduced with the "Summoning 2" update on 31 March 2008.
These familiars can act as a tinderbox, giving an extra 10 Firemaking experience per log. Wearing a Ring of fire and/or Flame gloves (rewards from the All Fired Up minigame) gives an additional 2-5% XP. However, the animation for making fires with the Forge regent is slow, and therefore many players prefer the traditional way of firemaking by using a tinderbox.
Forge regents are good for Ranged training, and also have a special ability called Fireball, which is a flaming, multi-hitting Ranged attack that can hit up to 6 opponents for a maximum of 5 damage each.
Warning - The Forge regent may randomly use its Fireball attack without the player right-clicking it. Players should be cautioned if this happens in a dangerous, multi-combat area such as the God Wars Dungeon. Up to 6 opponents might attack the player at the same time, which can possibly lead to a quick death.

Forge regent pouch is made by using a Summoning pouch on a Summoning obelisk with 141 spirit shards, a Green charm and a ruby harvest in the inventory. Making the pouch earns 134 experience points. Using the pouch to summon a Forge regent gains 1.5 experience points, and costs 9 Summoning points.

Inferno scroll enables the use of the Inferno special move for a Forge regent. Using the pouch on a Summoning obelisk creates 10 scrolls.
[edit] Inferno
Inferno is the special move for the Forge regent, which is a magical attack that disarms an enemy's weapon or shield. This special move is similar to the magical attack of Fareed from the Desert Treasure quest, who removes a player's weapon unless the player is wearing Ice gloves.
This attack does not appear to work on flag holders in Castle Wars. It does, however, work on all normal weapons, such as Godswords, Abyssal whips, Dragon equipment, etc.
