A Pot of flour is an item used mainly in the Cooking skill. It is one of the items that players can make without the need to train Cooking beforehand. Black Knights and white knights may drop pots of flour.
Formerly the general store icons on the map were represented as pots of flour until they were replaced with empty pots because Flour cannot often be found in a general store.

[edit] Uses
It is used as an ingredient to make bread, pies, cakes, pizzas, and kebabs. These foods are some of the most healing foods in the RuneScape world, apart from high-level fish.
Flour is also used to make swamp paste, by mixing it with swamp tar and then cooking it on a range. Flour is needed in some quests, such as Prince Ali Rescue, where it is used to make a skin cream.
[edit] Filling an empty pot with flour
[edit] From a windmill
Flour is essentially ground-up grain. The only items players need are grain and an empty pot to put the flour into. Players can pick grain from a field (where it grows as wheat), and they can often find this near a windmill.
Having obtained the grain and the pot, players should go to a windmill. Water mills cannot be used to grind flour. Players must go to the second floor, where there is a hopper and its controls. The player must then use the grain on the hopper, and then operate the hopper controls.
They must then go to the ground floor and use the empty pot on the flour bin to fill it with flour. Alternatively, they can left-click on the flour bin with an empty pot in their inventory to fill it with flour.
[edit] From the Sinclair Mansion
After starting the quest Murder Mystery, members can access an unlimited barrel of flour in the kitchen of the Sinclair Mansion just north of Seers' Village. Simply use an empty pot with the barrel to fill it with flour.
This is probably the fastest way to obtain flour other than buying it. There is a bank fairly close by in Seers' Village to the south.
As this is next to a sink and a range, it is an excellent spot for turning swamp tar into swamp paste

Players can buy pots of flour in Wydin's Food Store in Port Sarim. They can also buy flour from other players if they do not have the time to grind their own. Flour is freely tradable on the Grand Exchange - see the G.E.'s price of a pot of flour.
