Flight of the Dragonkin is a text by Robert the Strong where he writes about his frustration that he is unable to find out the origins of the dragonkin. It can be read in Robert's library by searching the bookshelf in the west, but it cannot be obtained.
The more I learn about them, the more I am convinced that the Dragonkin are not native to this world. I had thought them invaders who travelled to Kethsi, destroyed it and left, but now I am not so sure. I believe they are far older than that and that they came from elsewhere, not unlike myself.
The question that eludes me is quite how they achieved this, as I do not believe that the fairy rings would be the best transportation method for an invading force.
Unfortunately, there is no one that I can ask. The Kethsians are all dead, so I cannot ask them how the Dragonkin arrived and there is no one else I know of who has encountered them.
I need someone who has predated the arrival of humans on Gielinor, since I believe the Dragonkin long predate us.
My initial thought was to contact the strange rock people who live in the volcano - the TzHaar, I think they call themselves. I tried to speak with them about their history, but while not being actively aggressive, they were not forthcoming in their answers.
I briefly considered contacting the Dragonkin directly, but I quickly realised the folly in that plan.
There are statues and relics around Gielinor that predate the arrival of humanity on Gielinor - if only I could get them to divulge their secrets! I pass those enormous statues regularly, their stone eyes gazing out across the world. If only I could speak to them somehow. I imagine they would have such wonderful secrets to tell.-Robert the Strong
