Flame gloves

From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape

Flame gloves, are a reward from the minigame All Fired Up. These gloves require a Firemaking level of 79 to equip.

They give a 2% bonus to experience gained through Firemaking, which will stack with the 2% bonus from the Ring of fire, however, when worn with the Ring of fire, the total bonus is 5%. It does not give any bonus for lighting the fire altar in the Temple of Mort'ton.

To get this reward you must light ten beacons in the minigame All Fired Up and talk to the King of Varrock. Should one lose the Flame gloves, one must light the ten beacons again to re-obtain them. Lighting the beacons again while already having the gloves does not give any reward.

[edit] Trivia

A player getting 79 Firemaking can now wear Flame Gloves.
  • Flame Gloves originally gave a 3% boost to any Firemaking experience gained when worn, but according to the RuneScape Game Guide they now only give a 2% boost, and the same goes for the Ring of fire, however the Game Guide states that they can add together to make 5%.
  • Flame Gloves used to have a different icon (File:Flame gloves.gif) in the RuneScape Game Guide than in the game, but this was changed to match the in game image.
  • After the Abyssal whip's animation was updated on 17 September 2009, wearing the gloves and a whip at the same time caused the gloves to stretch:
