Fire Blast requires a Magic level of 59 to be cast and can do a maximum of 16 damage per spell. In free-to-play, it is the most powerful combat spell, and is commonly used for PvP minigames such as Clan Wars, Duel Arena, Bounty Hunter, and Fist of Guthix. It is common to see an opponent in Fist of Guthix to switch from this spell to melee/range to hit maximum damage without worrying about protection prayers.

It is not unusual to see low-levelled pures (around a combat level of 40) being capable of casting Fire Blast, as these players are Pure Mages, with Melee and Ranged skills at level 1 (Probably not so for defence) and relatively high Hitpoints for their combat.

Fire Blast costs 483 coins for each cast not using a staff.

Remember, you cannot use Ancient Magicks or Lunar Spells if you are using regular Magic.
