Trainee adventurers are found north of the Heart of Gielinor. During the Heart of Gielinor: Encampment event, players are able to use basic and golden tools to help train them in combat so they may partake in the dungeon once it is opened.
- On day 1, players could train them in Attack, gaining Attack experience in doing so.
- On day 2, players could train them in Ranged, gaining Ranged experience in doing so.
- On day 3, players could train them in Defence, gaining Defence experience in doing so.
- On day 4, players could train them in Magic, gaining Magic experience in doing so.
- On day 5, players could train them in Strength, gaining Strength experience in doing so.
After the mysterious portal covering the dungeon was removed, Ajjat tells the player that some of the trainees went into the dungeon to prove their worth. However, they were unprepared for the more well-trained combatants in the dungeon and were quickly killed by them.
