Sophanem guards are non-attackable keepers of order guarding the bank and market of Sophanem. They will sell tinderboxes for 50 coins, and unlit torches for 200 coins. Some of them wield cutlasses and others spears. After Contact!, they can be seen around Sophanem as well, saying that they are too busy to talk.
They are the only inhabitants of Sophanem not afflicted by its plague, since most of the guards were out of town hunting Simon Templeton for his repeated antiques theft.
