The small dark star is featured in the corrupted chests Treasure Hunter promotion. Initially, they give 10% more bonus experience than the Prismatic small fallen star, but as you "corrupt" the chests, the stars become more effective, scaling to 20% at 20 souls, then 30% at 50 souls, and finally 40% more effective at the highest corruption with 100 lost souls gathered. Lost souls can be found rarely while skilling, and once per chest opened.
