A Small Rift was interactive scenery that Janus spawns as part of the Runecrafting & Summoning Rifts event. It could be interacted for either Runecrafting or Summoning experience. Players can also check daily progress in the event while at a rift. Small Rifts was removed on 11 April 2016. Contrary to what their name suggests, small rifts provide increased experience compared to the Large Rift at Draynor.

Possible locations

The Small Rift spawns at a random location on each world and moves every now and then. Each rift will have a yellow progress bar which, when full, causes the rift to move. This bar will fill regardless if there are players interacting with it or not. Members-only locations do occur on free to play worlds resulting in unreachable locations.

Experience

The amount of experience gained from a rift can be increased by using Rift sunderers.
