Sharkborne is an enthusastic old fisherman who lives on Waiko. He is the first interactable Eastern NPC the players will meet. He will give players a copy of the Arc Journal (formerly The Arc: A Tourist's Guide) when they speak to him (unless it's already owned), as well as answer questions as to how to get somewhere or who to talk to.
According to Ted, he was booted off Whale's Maw for being too cheerful. Sharkborne also has a pet crablet, X-Runes.
