The rug merchant is a Rug Merchant at the Monkey colony who works for Chimpish Airways. He is rather annoyed by his assistant. He has a deal with Ali Morrisane, whereby all carpets incoming to the colony are paid to Ali and all outgoing carpets are paid to the merchant.
If the player aren't wearing a Monkeyspeak Amulet, the human assistant will try to speak with him. Though, sometimes the merchant gets confused and gives the player a banana.
