Pouches used to be required to make Summoning familiars in Dungeoneering. They could be bought in bulk from the Smuggler for 1 rusty coin each, and were used, along with spirit shards, in the same way as overworld pouches to making finished pouches. Two weeks after Dungeoneering was released, Summoning in Daemonheim was changed so that only charms and tertiary ingredients were needed to make pouches, and the Smuggler stopped selling empty pouches and spirit shards.
