The novite pickaxe is a tier 1 pickaxe, found in Daemonheim. It is the weakest possible pickaxe. It requires level 1 Attack to wield, and level 1 Mining to mine the various ores in Daemonheim.

It can be made from one novite bar, requiring level 2 Smithing and giving 11 experience. It has identical stats to its iron counterpart except for a lower strength bonus of 4. Many players who do not mine in Daemonheim prefer using this pickaxe to clear rocks blocking doors as it is the cheapest pickaxe easily obtainable from the Smuggler, only costing 437 coins. It is a possible drop from the Bulwark beast and an animated pickaxe.

Tool belt[]

This, along with the novite hatchet, is among the default equipment found on all Dungeoneering tool belts. On a tool belt, the novite pickaxe can be used to automatically mine rocks containing ores, rocks blocking one's path and rocks in the Stomp boss's room. Additionally, it is used automatically as a side-attack to chip away at the Bulwark beast's armour if using a melee weapon.
