The Local mage replaces Lucien after the quest While Guthix Sleeps. He can be found in the small house east of Edgeville near the fairy ring where Lucien used to be. He is accompanied by a Local Thug. He has an attack option and 1 life point, but selecting it causes him to say "Leave me alone!" and the player will not attack him.

- When moused over, his weakness is crush, but after attempting to attack him, his weakness becomes thrown weapons.
