A gizmo dissolver is an Invention device that removes a gizmo shell from an augmented item, thus removing perks as well. The gizmo shell is destroyed in the process. Discovering this device requires level 8 Invention. Success in creating the blueprints earns 628 Invention experience.

If the item has two gizmos installed, the player will be asked to select one to dissolve. The item remains augmented upon the removal of the gizmo. The gizmo dissolver is destroyed in the process.
