Giles is a man found at the Grand Exchange who provides a tutorial of the Notes system. Either himself or one of his brothers, Niles or Miles, will be in his place. He was previously part of the Certer Random Event, where he and his brothers asked players to identify an item, such as a fish. In Runescape Classic, he was found in Draynor and could convert Iron ore, Coal, Silver ore, Gold ore and Mithril ore into Certificates. Jinno had the same features but was located in Zanaris.
