The factory trousers are a reward from the Flash Powder Factory minigame and are part of the factory outfit. They can be bought from Brian O'Richard for 2475 Brianpoints or from Stanley Limelight for 275 thaler. While equipped, they give an extra three catalytic powder at the beginning of the game.
The entire outfit confers a major bonus to Herblore; wearing three out of the five factory items will give a chance of creating 4-dose potions instead of 3-dose, and while wearing all five of the pieces, creating unfinished potions will give the same amount of experience as cleaning the relevant herb.
