Bonafido is the chief builder of the crew building the Tower of Life. They are currently on strike as they do not trust the motives of the alchemists and are demanding answers as to the building's purpose.[1]
During the quest Tower of Life, he allows adventurers to enter the Tower, currently restricted to his building crew only, if they possess the builder's costume and prove they have the right mentality. He mocks those who make choices he disapproves of. He cares more about getting paid for work than the outcome of the alchemists' experiments.[2]
He has his own special brew of builder's tea, some of which he gives to the adventurer during Deadliest Catch.

- His name is a pun on the Latin phrase bona fide, which means good faith.
