Fever spiders are monsters that require a Slayer level of 42 to kill. Players must wear Slayer gloves while fighting them, or face being hit 12.5% of their maximum life points repeatedly. Previously without the slayer gloves, the player will also become diseased, regardless of prayer or armour, but with the release of Evolution of Combat, disease was removed from the game. High level players won't need a lot of food (tuna should be enough). Fever spiders are considered to be a relatively fast task due to the large quantity of spiders, their low defence and lack of drops.
