The Faithful shield is a shield that can be bought at Castle Wars from Lanthus for 200 Castle wars tickets. Its stats are equivalent to a Rune kiteshield's stats but with a prayer bonus of 6, making it the shield with the fourth highest prayer bonus, behind the Illuminated Prayer books and the Falador shield 4 and Falador shield 3. The shield requires 40 Defence to wield.

Trivia

This is the first shield to have particle effects, the second being the Dragonfire Shield (charged) (as of 6 March 2012). The purple glow in the centre of the shield leaves a trail for a short time when the player runs, and it spreads out during combat.
At 20 minutes per game, getting the 200 tickets required to purchase this item would take at least 34 hours, or a bit more than 41 hours including the 5 minute wait time between matches.
When struggling in water from a failed agility obstacle, the shield will disappear but the particle glow will remain around the player's hand.
When it was released, the shield didn't have a defence requirement which made a lot of pures try to get one. The defence requirement was added later.
This shield in some ways resembles an Elemental talisman.
