The Faithful shield is a shield that can be bought at Castle Wars from Lanthus for 200 Castle wars tickets. It features a high prayer bonus. The shield requires 40 Defence to wield. It has the same stats as a Rune Kiteshield only with a 5 prayer bonus.

Trivia Edit

This is the first shield to have particle effects, the second being the Dragonfire Shield (charged) (as of 6 March 2012). The purple glow in the centre of the shield leaves a trail for a short time when the player runs, and it spreads out during combat.
At 20 minutes per game, getting the 200 tickets required to purchase this item would take at least 34 hours, or a bit more than 41 hours including the 5 minute wait time between matches.
When it was released, the shield didn't have a defence requirement which lead to it being very popular among pures. The defence requirement was added later.
