An Ex-parrot can be obtained from either Brass Hand Harry or 50 Ships Mufassah. When the Ex-parrot is placed into a Magical cage, it becomes an Ex-parrot in a magic cage. The Magical cage can be obtained from Bill Teach after completing the Rocking Out quest.
Players with level 71 Summoning can bring the Ex-parrot back to life as an undead Pet. Use the "Ex-parrot in a magic cage" on the slab with the Black mask engraved into it, found west of the Cave Horror dungeon entrance on Mos Le'Harmless. This will turn the Ex-parrot into an Ex-ex-parrot.
While the Ex-ex-parrot is a pet, the Ex-parrot itself is not one.
Attempting to drop this item yields the following message: "If you drop this dead parrot, there is a chance that bad, bad things will happen to you - unless you see 50 Ships Mufassah for a replacement.".

- The name is from the British television show Monty Python's Flying Circus, where one of the sketches is about a man who returns his dead parrot to a pet shop.
- According to 50 Ships Mufassah, the parrot was the pet of Achmed the Brutally Violent.
