Emote
From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape
An Emote is an animation that a player can select for their character to perform. It is also an effective way for muted players to communicate with each other, or with other players.
Emotes can be activated from the Emote menu in the interface. Blackened pictures are emotes yet to be unlocked, while coloured ones are emotes that have already been unlocked.

All of the enhancers are tradable except for the satchels, Builder's costume and Chicken Costume. All of the enhancers are members-only items, except for the Chicken Costume.

[edit] Skill cape emote
The Skill cape emote is unlocked when a player first wears a Cape of Achievement, gained by purchasing one after gaining level 99 in a skill, or completing all the quests to obtain the Quest point cape. Using this emote will perform an emote respective to the current equipped Cape of Achievement, as each skillcape has a different emote.
Subsequently, it can only be performed while the player has a Cape of Achievement equipped. Note that players will have to be wearing the cape, as wearing the matching hood would not enable the emote to be performed. If used without an equipped Cape of Achievement, the player gets a message, "You need to be wearing a Skill Cape in order to perform that emote."
[edit] Trivia
- Goblin salute was called Goblin dance for a long time.
- It is possible to make emotes in egg or monkey form. Only emote-created items like lightbulb or zombie hand appear.
- It was possible to combine Air guitar with Snowman Dance, resulting in doing the Snowman Dance while playing the Air guitar. This was done clicking the Snowman Dance emote, quickly followed by the Air guitar emote. This glitch was fixed by Jagex, and is no longer possible.
- Zombie dance is similar to the dance performed in Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video.
