This will consume the golden thread with a confirmation dialogue. This process is irreversible and the upgraded tights are untradeable.
The tights degrade over 30,000 charges of combat to a broken state. It can be repaired for 1,200,000 at a repair NPC or for less on an armour stand.

The base repair cost of the Elite Robin Hood tights when completely degraded to 0.0% item charge is 1,200,000 coins. It can be repaired by:
- Bob - the axe seller in Lumbridge
- Tindel Marchant - the weapon and armour repairman at Port Khazard
- Dunstan - the smith in Burthorpe
- Squire - in the workshop area of the Void Knights' Outpost
Alternatively, it can be repaired on an armour stand in a player-owned house, or a whetstone device anywhere. This provides a discount of 0.5% per Smithing level (including boosts).
If it is only partially degraded, then the cost of a full repair is multiplied by the percentage of item charge that needs to be repaired to produce the current repair cost.
