Eastern Curiosities is a storyline in the the Player-owned port minigame minigame. Like the Hyu-Ji, Quin, and Guardians of the World storylines it involves three adventurers. This story follows the Chef, the Trapper, and the Architect.
Part 1: ReinforcementEdit
The portmaster calls Carlos and Reginald to discuss a problem Lidylla is having: The creatures near her hometown has been attacking miners, and that she hears both Carlos and Reginald have encountered the creatures before, and might be able to help. Reginald seeks to blow the creatures up, while Carlos insists they cook the creatures. The portmaster denies both to do so, and that their mission is to accompany Lidylla and keep the miners safe. Upon their return Lidylla reports that fewer attacks have occurred due to Carlos and Reginald. Carlos states that one of the miners severely injured one of the creatures, and that it dissolved into a bluish-purple goop, which seems to be their natural form. Lidylla states that although the creatures are unhappy with the miners presence, they have no choice but to continue mining operations.
Part 2: Once More Into the BreachEdit
The portmaster receives news from the mining site, stating that the creatures only attack when mining operations begin. Reginald concludes that the miners are invading the creatures' territory and that they are defending something. The portmaster requests Carlos accompany them to cook for the miners, and the trio sail off. Upon return, the trio states they have caught the creature, whose species turns into goop upon death. They also found out the material the miners were mining were the creatures' food, and that they absorb the rocks, feeding on the same property that resists vibration. Lidylla reluctantly concludes that in order for her town to survive, the creatures must starve.
Part 3: Recipe Number 132:Fresh IdeaEdit
Carlos proposes an idea to negotiate with the creatures: They can only access the minerals from the surface, so the miners can mine further down to find more. Once they have the minerals, they plan to offer half of it to the creatures. The portmaster doubts their proposition, but, to the trio, it's the best option to go with. Upon return, Carlos excitedly states the plan worked, and that the creatures have stopped attacking. According to Lidylla, the mineral is tastier the further they mine down. With the problem solved, they make new plans. Carlos seeks to continue travelling to find the perfect flavour, Reginald seeks to take a holiday, and Lidylla returns to her studies, stating that she has heard of materials of interest, and that some of them come from other realms.
