Dwarves are relatively low-level monsters, who are occasionally given out as Slayer assignments. They are slightly resistant to Magic attacks, and are not recommended for low levels, as they can hit two's frequently. Dwarves are good charm droppers for higher-level players. Even though the level 10 dwarves between Falador and Barbarian Village appear to have steel pickaxes, they do not drop them.
One of the dwarves at the Mining Guild sells the Mining cape to players with level 99 in Mining for a fee of 99,000 coins.
