|Examine||Grand Exchange set containing Dragon full helm, platebody, legs.|
A Dragon plate armour set (lg) is an armour set requiring level 60 defence to equip. It can be obtained by exchanging the components of the set through a clerk at the Grand Exchange. Only the Dragon platebody can be smithed at 92 Smithing, assuming the player has a Ruined dragon armour shard, Ruined dragon armour lump, Ruined dragon armour slice and a Blast fusion hammer, and take these to the Dragon forge, making the Dragon platebody the most expensive item in the set. The other parts of this set can be obtained as drops. Not many players have this as it is relatively expensive for the bonuses. It is worth saying you should check the prices in the Grand Exchange to price the set, compared to the individual pieces. Doing this can save millions of coins.
Dragon armour is currently one of the best sets of defensive armour that doesn't degrade. The third age armour is slightly better, but has prices which exceed other sets easily. Torva and Barrows armour have higher stats, but degrade and cost coins to repair.
