Dharok's platebody is melee armour worn in the body slot that is part of Dharok the Wretched's set of barrows equipment. To wear Dharok's platebody, a player must have 70 Defence. It is currently tied with Guthan's platebody and Torag's platebody for being the strongest in the game.
Being part of Dharok's barrows set, if Dharok's platebody is worn along with all of the other pieces of equipment in Dharok's barrows set the player receives a special effect. Attacks do more damage as the player's Hitpoints decrease, up to double damage at 10% hitpoints.
It can be bought either as individual item or as part of the "Barrows - dharok's set" item, in both case this can happen either on the Grand Exchange or via player-to-player trading.

As with many items that closely relate to combat, Dharok's platebody experienced a sharp rise in price in the lead up to the PvP worlds update, with its daily average price rising above 235K. Roughly 3-4 days after the update had been released, once the hype had passed, the price sharply fell back to around 208k where it was for all of 2008 until January 2009, where the price rose sharply over the month at a stunning fast rate to 339k at market price. The platebody is believed to keep rising to a very stunning price of 30 million GP. Unfortunately, for people with a platebody, the rumour is fake. The max price Jagex ever said to increase the price to was 1 million Gp - still a low price for a very strong piece of armour. These days, the platebody's market price is between the 300k and 600k. Unfortunately, the platebody is now near impossible to sell due to the dump from a well-known merchanting clan. The price should be expected to crash very soon.

- As with all Barrows equipment, this item cannot be made using the Smithing skill.
Like all Barrows armour, Dharok's platebody can be fixed at Bob's Axes in Lumbridge. For this item it costs 90k when fully broken and can also be fixed at a Player-owned house workshop on the armour stand for cheaper. The following table summarises the repair costs for Barrow's items.
