Dagannoth Rex is the melee Dagannoth King found on Waterbirth Island. He is completely immune to ranged and melee. Dagannoth Rex is the only dropper of the berserker and warrior rings. He, along with the other Dagannoth Kings, can drop the dragon hatchet.

[Name] Bukalla's Heir
Dagannoth Rex is extremely weak to magic attacks, specifically fire spells. Whoever is killing him may want to use the southeastern side, as he can be easily fought there due to his large size.
Many players trap him as his melee attacks will be unable to attack the player. There are many safespots around the arena, but it's best to use a few if you only want to kill him. The best ones would be on the eastern side, as no kings will interfere unless they have been alerted to your presence (e.g. a player moves to your spot with Supreme on him, which makes you also get attacked with ranged).
As a result of Dagannoth Rex being able to be safe spotted, he is the easiest Dagannoth King to fight.

Universal drops Edit
Universal drops are dropped by nearly every monster outside of Daemonheim.
These drops are dropped alongside main drops.
Baroo Quality ( 35) - Defeat a Dagannoth King whilst wearing full yak-hide armour and a Fremennik round shield.
Dagannoth Traffic Wardens ( 40) - Defeat the Dagannoth Supreme with each different colour variation of Balmung.
They All Fell Down ( 40) - Defeat the Dagannoth Kings all within 5 seconds of each other.
Long live the Kings! ( 0) - Obtained a collection of unique drops from the Dagannoth Kings.
Dagannoth Rex wearing a santa hat during Christmas.
"Rex" is a Latin word meaning "king", referring to him being one of the three Dagannoth kings.
The Dreadnip has a far lower chance of successfully hitting Dagannoth Rex than any other Dagannoth King.
Dagannoth Rex is the only Dagannoth King that is not stun immune.
Prior to their Graphical Update on 19 September 2016, Dagannoth Rex, along with Dagannoth Supreme and Prime, had a hook-shaped left arm, although Rex is the only one who used it to attack opponents.
