| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Dagannoth Prime is one of the Dagannoth Kings found on Waterbirth Island. Dagannoth Prime is the Dagannoth King that uses Magic. He is almost completely immune to magic and melee damage.
Dagannoths are weak against the Balmung. However, this is not worth the time and money worth using this to kill him or the other Dagannoth Kings.

Dangers
Edit
- If players get too close to Dagannoth Rex when they are fighting Dagannoth Prime, Dagannoth Rex will likely switch his aggressiveness towards them. This can be avoided by staying on the western part of the arena, as Rex will rarely (if ever) go there.
- Dagannoth Supreme respawns while fighting Prime. This can be avoided by staying in the northern part of the arena. Players will want to use the "Long-Range" style with their ranged combat unless the player is sure that they will not get the attention of Supreme.
- Prime, along with his fellow king Supreme, have a very long ranged attack. This means, if he targets you, you'll either have to leave the arena or kill him.

Trivia
Edit
- When you kill Dagannoth Prime, in the Adventurer's Log it says "I killed Dagannoth Prime, one of the legendary Dagannoth Kings, rumoured to fly on the Northern Winds." However, for Rex and Supreme, it simply says "I killed Dagannoth Rex" / "I killed Dagannoth Supreme" without a description.
- 'Prime' is a derivative of the Latin adjective 'primus', meaning 'first', but the examine option of Dagannoth Rex, 'Firstborn of the legendary Dagannoth Kings', makes the name contradictory.
- Despite being a mage, which is normally weak to rangers, Prime has a much stronger defence against ranged attacks than usual, and even higher defence against any other type of attack.
- Dagannoth Prime has an eye in the middle of his chest. This suggests a possibility of the "eye" controlling it, similar to that of the Sea Slugs and Dreadnaut.
