Dagannoth Prime is one of the Dagannoth Kings found on Waterbirth Island. Dagannoth Prime is the Dagannoth King that uses Magic.

[edit] Strategy

Dagannoth Prime is easily the most dangerous of all the Dagannoth Kings, especially to players who use Melee combat style. Its Magic attacks can hit up to 61. It is essential that players turn Protect from Magic prayer on.

It is imperative that Dagannoth Rex is distracted throughout the battle with the three kings. In addition, the players attacking Dagannoth Rex using the Magic attack should protect themselves with Protect from Magic. It is important that these mages must protect the players attacking the other kings by continuing to distract Dagannoth Rex.

The players, who use Ranged attacks, should "skirt" around Dagannoth Rex and Dagannoth Supreme. These rangers are part of the "second wave" that enters the room after the mages have distracted Dagannoth Rex.

Once players have started to attack Dagannoth Prime, the warriors (i.e those who use Melee) should enter the battle, part of the "third wave". Once the Dagannoth Prime is distracted, the mages may turn OFF Protect from Magic.

[edit] Dangers

• If players get too close to Dagannoth Rex when they are fighting Dagannoth Prime, Dagannoth Rex switches his aggressiveness towards them. If this happens, players should try to get Dagannoth Rex stuck, on the eastern edge of the area. If players cannot do this, they should quit the battle, teleport to safety. To avoid this situation, players should simply face away from Dagannoth Rex when they are ranging Dagannoth Prime.

• Dagannoth Supreme gets too close to the players, and starts to attack the players. If this happens, players should find a safe spot, and call-in the "third wave" warriors. These players should be able to handle Dagannoth Supreme.
