|Examine||It can be used to make crystal glass.|
Crystal-flecked sandstone can be mined from crystal-flecked sandstone mines at level 81 Mining; this can be boosted. It can be made into crystal glass by using a robust glass machine. To use the Oo'glog machine, the As a First Resort quest needs to be complete; alternatively, the Ithell Clan district houses a robust glass machine which can be used. Crystal glass is manufactured into crystal flasks, requiring level 89 Crafting.
50 crystal-flecked sandstone can be mined in the Ithell district daily. A further 25 can be mined daily in the Edimmu resource dungeon, requiring level 115 Dungeoneering to access the dungeon. The daily limit will reset on login, after 00:00 (UTC). Alternatively, crystal-flecked sandstone can be obtained from the Motherlode Maw. There is no limit to the amount of crystal glass that can be created per day.

|Experience (per ore)|
There are a few ways to increase the number of crystal-flecked sandstone mined in a day.
It is possible to mine more than the maximum daily amount with the reward from Shooting Stars, which gives the player a chance of receiving double ore. Assuming the player is mining all the crystal-flecked sandstone available, the effect of the reward given by the shooting stars will allow the player to mine up to about 34 extra pieces per day.
The collector's insignia can also be used to slow the depletion of the crystal-flecked sandstone rock.
