Crayfish Cages are Fishing items used to catch Crayfish. They can be bought for a few coins at the Grand Exchange or at Gerrant's Fishy Business (run by Gerrant) in Port Sarim. There is no bait needed to use crayfish cages, and many fishing spots for crayfish around RuneScape. Many players do not use crayfish cages, for crayfish only heal 1 hitpoint, and even shrimp heal more health. Crayfish cages look relatively similar to lobster pots, although they are very different. Crayfish aren't seen often on member worlds, though.

[edit] Where to Find
When you want to find where you can fish for crayfish, it might take a little bit. Some fishing spots may or may not contain any crayfish. In order to figure out if the spot does have crayfish, right click the crayfish cage in your inventory and select 'use.' Once your crayfish cage is highlighted in your inventory with a white border, click on the fishing spot you want to try. Then click the option that says something along the lines of "Use crayfish cage>>fishing spot". It will say whether there is crayfish there or not.
[edit] Trivia
