Crashed devotion rocks arose temporarily in the Lumbridge Crater as a result of Wizard Deedit's experiments prior to the 2017 Valentine's Day event. According to Deedit, the rocks were attracted to the surface of Gielinor after the potency of the energy released from his unity machine surpassed his expectations. Wizard Deedit also notes that "they seem to be made of some kind of solidified happiness".

They may be broken down as one of a few options for participation in the event, granting up to a total of 500 devotion dust when the player reaches their maximum daily reputation without devotion counteragent. A total of eight interactable rocks could be found around the crater. They could be broken down for either Mining or Smithing experience, or one of these could be selected directly by right-clicking the rocks. An action was performed automatically every 3.6 seconds. At level 99 Mining and Smithing, one action yielded 89.9 Mining or 87.9 Smithing experience.

They could also be right-clicked to check the daily loved up level.
