The Corrupt dragon spear was released on 15 October 2008 along with the PvP worlds. It is the strongest (and the only) spear available to non-members, but it crumbles to dust after 30 minutes of wielding. It requires 60 Attack to wield. This spear is as fast as a longsword.
Players can receive this item either by trading with another player, or receiving it as a very rare drop from killing another player in PvP worlds or Bounty Worlds. It is probably more expensive than the normal version because of the amount of non-members that want it while being hard to find.
This spear is slower but noticeably stronger than the Rune Scimitar. It is frequently used by high-leveled players, due to it's minor defense bonuses, and can be used to deal high amounts of damage.

- Unlike its counterpart, the corrupt dragon spear has a black handle instead of a silver handle.
- This is the only spear available to free players.
