Examine	A mystical crossbow fashioned from living coral.

The coral crossbow is a reward from the Song from the Depths and is required for the construction of the royal crossbow. It was used to free Remora during the quest.

If lost after the quest, a new one may be obtained from Sir Rebrum, who can be found north-east of Rimmington, by the mine. Sir Rebrum can also be found by using the teleport option on Remora's necklace.

The coral crossbow is about as accurate as a bronze crossbow. The coral crossbow may only fire coral bolts, 50 of which are also obtained from the quest, as well as being a drop from Young grotworms. The bolts are themselves equivalent to bronze bolts.

It can be upgraded into an unforged royal crossbow by bringing it to Thurgo together with the following drops from the Queen Black Dragon:

• Royal torsion spring
• Royal sight
• Royal bolt stabiliser
• Royal frame

This process requires 70 Smithing, and the new crossbow requires 80 Ranged. The crossbow can be completed by exposing it to the Queen Black Dragon's fire attack during her final phase, which requires 60 Summoning, creating a royal crossbow.
