Cooking gauntlets detail

Cooking gauntlets are a pair of members-only gloves, available after completing the Family Crest quest. While wearing the gauntlets, the player will have a reduced risk of burning select types of fish.

They can be obtained by right clicking the magical Family gauntlets (or any of the enchanted gauntlets) and choosing 'switch' and then choosing this option from the interface. If the gauntlets are enchanted already, it will cost 25,000 coins to change them.

Cooking gauntlets give the same 1% experience bonus as sous chef's mitts if the player owns both (as well as the added 1% set bonus if the rest of the Sous chef's outfit is worn).

If the gauntlets are destroyed or lost due to death, these gauntlets may be re-obtained free of charge from Dimintheis in south-east Varrock and will have the same enchantment on them.

Trivia[]

  • If you destroy the family gloves before imbuing them, then recover them, they become cooking gauntlets.
  • Before the Evolution of Combat update, the cooking gauntlets (as well as the other variants) had Defence bonuses comparable to rune gloves, as well as attack and strength bonuses comparable to bronze gloves - despite them not having any Defence requirements.
