Cooking gauntlets

From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape

A pair of cooking gauntlets.

Cooking gauntlets are a pair of members-only gloves, available after completing the Family Crest quest. While wearing the gauntlet the player will have a reduced risk of burning lobster, swordfish, shark, cavefish and rocktail on ranges and fires, and reduce the level required not to burn them. Although monkfish are thought not to be affected by these gloves, at level 90 at a fire you won't burn one with them on but at level 89 with the gauntlets on at a range, monkfish won't burn. With them off you will keep burning monkfish until level 92. There are no requirements to wear these gloves and they can be obtained by bringing the magical Family gauntlets to Caleb in Catherby. These give the same stat bonus as Klank's gauntlets, with the exception of two less Summoning defence.

Note: If dropped or lost due to death, these gauntlets may be re-obtained free of charge from Dimintheis in south-east Varrock and will have the same enchantment on them.

Changing the enchantment to Cooking from Chaos gauntlets or Goldsmithing gauntlets costs 25,000 coins.

The text that appears when you give your gauntlets to Caleb is: "Caleb takes the gauntlets from you, pours some herbs and seasonings on them, bakes them on his range for a short time, then hands them back to you."
