Clown tambourines are obtained through Balthazar Beauregard's Big Top Bonanza, which is a part of Distractions and Diversions. These are rewarded to players who earn between 1,001 and 1,200 points in any of the circus performances. If players lose this item, they can talk to Balthazar Beauregard to obtain it.

If players score between 1,001 and 1,200 points, they will always get the Clown hat first, followed by the Clown shirt, the Clown leggings, the Clown shoes, and finally the Tambourine. Players will receive nothing after they have been rewarded with all 5 items. Due to the hard work required for this set, it is rarely seen.

The tambourine is equipable in the weapons slot (see Worn Equipment for more information).
