Claws are a type of two-handed melee weapon that are members-only. They can be obtained by either making them with the Smithing skill, trading with other players, or as a monster drop. Most types of claws can be created using the Smithing skill (apart from black, white, and Dragon claws), but to create them the player must have completed the Death Plateau quest. Lower-level claws can be bought from Martin Thwait in the Rogue's Den if you have the requirement of level 50 Thieving. Players can also get steel and black claws from Burthorpe Imperial Guard as a drop. Unfortunately they aren't often used due to being two-handed and not able to be poisoned, which makes people rather buy daggers. Although these weapons are worn around the hands they can be worn with gloves. Rune and Dragon claws have a special attack.

• When worn, claws have a similar appearance to Wolverine's, from X-men.
• When attempting to wield claws while also wielding a Crab claw in your glove slot, you will get a message saying "You need to remove your claw first." Strangely, you can wield claws while wielding a Pirate's hook or the Crabclaw hook.
• Although Rune Claws are the only rune melee weapons with a special attack, they cost very little: 8,345 coins.
